What is the difference between old AR10 to 60 and new and old AR-A and AR-B series regulators?
-
The old AR10 to 60 series was discontinued in December 2014.
Features and the main differences/similarities of the refreshed AR10-A to AR40-A and AR20-B to AR60-B series are described below.
The features of AR-A series regulators are as follows. ① The flow rate characteristics (reduced pressure drop) have been improved. ② The product has been whitened. ③ A backflow function has been added. (When the inlet pressure is removed, residual pressure can be exhausted to the inlet side. However, it may not be exhausted when the set pressure is 0.15 MPa or less.)
The main differences/similarities between old AR and AR-A series regulators are as follows. ① The set pressure range differs. (Old AR: 0.05 to 0.85 MPa, AR-A: 0.05 to 0.7 MPa) ② The dimensions between faces and bracket mounting dimensions are the same. ③ For AR-A series regulators, only the round type pressure gauge is available. ④ Old panel mounted AR and AR-A series regulators are not interchangeable.
When replacing an old AR series regulator with the following conditions (A to E), select a regulator from the AR20-B to AR60-B series.
(A) The set pressure is 0.7 to 0.85 MPa. (B) A square embedded type pressure gauge or digital pressure gauge is required. (C) The same dimensions for panel mounting are required. (D) A regulator with a backflow function is required. (E) The product was an AR50 or AR60.
Note 1) When only the AR series regulator of an old AC series modular F.R.L. unit (2 digits: AC□□) is replaced, the old spacer cannot be used with an AR-A series regulator. Replace the AR with an AR-A with a new spacer or with an AR-B.
Note 2) Check separately for the replacement of old special order AR series regulators.
