What is the difference between gauge pressure and absolute pressure?
-
Gauge pressure (symbol “G”) is a concept based on atmospheric pressure.
Absolute pressure (symbol “abs”) is a concept based on perfect vacuum.
The gauge pressure is used to indicate the pressure of general pneumatic components and calculate the cylinder output.
Whereas the absolute pressure is used to calculate the volume and flow rate of high vacuum equipment and air.
