What replacement parts are available for MGG series guide cylinders?
-
The parts that can be replaced with part numbers in the catalog are as follows. ① basic cylinder, ② shock absorber, and ③ seal kit and grease pack.
① The basic cylinder refers to the MGG series cylinder for driving. The part numbers are listed in the “Specifications” section in the MGG series catalog. Though the basic cylinder was changed from the CDG1 series to the CDG1-Z series in September 2014, they are interchangeable.
② The replacement shock absorber part numbers are also listed in the “Specifications” section in the MGG series catalog. After loosening the fixing nut and removing the old shock absorber, secure the replacement shock absorber with the same nut. (The nut that comes with the replacement shock absorber is too large, so do not use it.)
③ The replacement seal kit part numbers (which include a grease pack) are listed in the “Construction” section in the MGG series catalog. Note that the seal kits of new basic cylinders are not interchangeable with those of old basic cylinders. In addition, cylinders of bore size ø50 and larger cannot be disassembled. (For bore size ø50 and larger, there are no seal kit part numbers in the catalog.) Since the tightening torque of the cover is extremely high and the cover is made of aluminum, disassembly is extremely difficult unless a special jig is used. If it is forcibly disassembled, the cover will be damaged. Request a repair if needed.
