What is the difference between old MGP series cylinders and the current product with a “Z” in the part number?

The MGP series was discontinued in April 2012 and refreshed as the MGP-Z series.
The new type with a “Z” is easier to use: it’s lighter in weight with smaller auto switches.
Although mounting interchangeability is ensured, the following items have been changed.
① Only round groove type auto switches are available now. (Existing D-Y∗/D-Z∗ auto switches cannot be mounted.) When switching from an old product, be sure to order new auto switches as well.
② The plate thickness has been optimized.
③ The guide rod length has been optimized.
